The U-Cleat is very easy to put on and take off the mooring lines. You can easily move the spring along the line or to another line. Now you no longer have to leave the mooring springs when you leave your home port. The spring can also be easily mounted on a line with a split loop or cable at one or both ends. When it's time to wash the ropes, the U-Cleat is easy to remove. The innovative locking mechanism between rope and spring provides optimal locking effect without affecting the strength or durability of the rope. The corrugated rubber body provides a larger diameter to wrap the tampon around which increases the maximum stroke of the mooring spring, without affecting other properties. The U-Cleat is manufactured in EPDM rubber, with molded inserts in fiberglass reinforced polyamide for increased durability and performance. The removable locking wedges are made of fiberglass-reinforced polypropylene.
